The Production of Man's Body

Man preserves life and grows to maturity by taking nutriment or food. By the process called nutrition, man changes food into his own living substance.

Nutriment or food, assimilated by the body and made one with its living essence and nature, enables man to continue life and to exercise his connatural operations. It thus enables man to propagate his kind.
