Discord

Discord or dissension is a conflict of wills to theoffense of charity and the destruction of peace. Being contrary tocharity, it is sinful.

Discord arises from vainglory which makes a man clinginordinately to his own will, and leads him to despise the way andthe opinions of others. Hence, discord is rightly known as”the daughter of vainglory.”
