Friendliness

Friendliness or affability is a virtue subordinate to justice which seeks the balance and order of all things, including human relations. Friendliness thus has a special aspect of good to achieve, and is therefore a special virtue.

A virtue annexed to another is called a part or a potential part of that other. In this sense,friendliness or affability is a part of justice. It does not cover the whole ground of justice, and therefore is not identical with justice; it is annexed to justice, but is distinct from that virtue.
